Product Description
PREBOND-110 is a tannic acid-based rust converter chemical, formulated as a single-component, ready-to-use, water based rust converter for heavily rusted metal surfaces. It chemically converts rust (iron oxide) into a durable iron-tannate phosphate coating, providing long-term internal corrosion protection where surface preparation by grinding or sandblasting is impractical or expensive. As a water based rust converter, PREBOND-110 is well suited to marine environments, automotive chassis and heavily corroded industrial equipment, offering a reliable way to treat rust without sandblasting while creating a stable base for future painting. It also performs well as a marine rust converter spray on structures exposed to salt water and constant moisture, and works as an effective chassis rust converter paint for vehicle underbodies.
